Lauren Spendley, DVM

Dr. Lauren Spendley grew up in Bedford, New Hampshire where she dressed up as a veterinarian for her kindergarten career day. She graduated from the University of Vermont with her bachelor's degree in Animal and Veterinary Sciences in 2019. While there, she was a member of the student run dairy farm and dairy show team. She then attended the University of Florida for veterinary school where she graduated with her DVM in 2023. While in veterinary school she took elective coursework to focus on her interests in exotics including exotic companion animals, wildlife, zoological, and marine species. She is also passionate about shelter medicine, having completed Maddie’s® Professional Certificate in Shelter Medicine and hundreds of volunteer hours and surgical procedures at her local clinic for free roaming cats while pursuing her DVM degree. She is Fear Free Certified in both practice and shelter medicine.

When she is not at work, Dr. Spendley enjoys camping, skiing, wildlife photography, and reading a good mystery book. She also loves tending to her many houseplants and caring for her Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, two cats, leopard tortoise hatchling, and beta fish. Dr. Spendley is very excited to begin her career at Littleton Animal Hospital!
